Wikipedia defines Do it Yourself as “…a term used by various communities that focus on people creating or repairing things for themselves without the aid of paid professionals.” People like John Haynes have contributed immensly to the development of the DIY movement in the automotive sector. According to the About Us page on their website “…Haynes Manuals are the ultimate DIY guide books for used, collector, and newer vehicles. As one of the most widely read automotive books in the world, Haynes Manuals covers the motoring industry from Acura to Volvo, from BMW to Yamaha.”
