As stated on the community page of our website, we have demonstrated the fact that we embrace Web 2.0 by starting a blog, a Facebook Group and Business Page. We initially started the blog on Blogger but decided to transfer it to WordPress for several reasons. WordPress is more user friendly and I manage two other blogs here on here so going between sites started to seem like a hassle after I realized I could get all my blogs on one dashboard, which makes editing more than one blog from the same browser window possible. This time-saving feature is critical when you maintain multiple sites blogs and social-networking profiles. I hate the fact that I can’t get all my widgets to work as they did on Blogger but we voted for function over form. There were other considerations but that’s for another post, lets talk about Passion Auto Club…
I guess by now the average reader should realize what we are about. If not, please visit the Home or About Us pages for more information on who we are and what we do. We have only created a few pages so far, however we have plans for a more streamlined Driver Education page where we will centralize our education resources. Please leave your comments and suggestions so we can make the blog more user-friendly.
We will be launching our Annual Enrollment Campaign in October, 2008 and I must say I’m dying with anxiety. I am still working on the pages describing the program for the website so as soon as they are finished I will publish the links and update all the relevant/ related posts. The program seeks to enroll 200-300 new members over the period October – December 2008 so this is top priority for now. We will be seeking to establish stakeholder relationships with medium sized and large businesses in the Kingston Metropolitan Region (KMR) as well as Churches in Portmore and Spanish Town St. Catherine.
We will work together with the relevant leader of these organisations to facilitate the planning and execution of a series of Preventive Maintenance (PM) presentations and Diagnostic Inspection events. The events will hosted by the partnering organization in order to give their employees/ membership easy access to The Passion Auto Club and its exclusive services. They were designed to raise awareness about the club and services and should aid in convincing individuals to register.
Hopefully I find time to make regular updates to this blog, Facebook Group and Business Page so our readers and members can stay abreast of our activites and achievements. Stay tuned.
